Privacy notice

What we collect

• When you share your voice: your name, email, optional phone number, country, state and city, age range, the work you send (text, files or links), an optional social media handle, and anything you tell us to keep you safe. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian’s name and contact.
• When you volunteer, offer to contribute, propose a partnership or contact us: your name, email, optional phone, country, organisation and your message.
• When you join the newsletter: your email address.
• When you use the site: anonymous counts of clicks on buttons and videos (for example “Share your voice clicked 12 times today”). No cookies, no IP addresses and nothing that identifies you.

There are no user accounts on this website. It sets no cookies.

Why

To review your contribution, publish it with your consent, contact you (or your parent or guardian) about it, reply to your message, and send the newsletter you asked for. Nothing you send is published automatically: every contribution is reviewed by our team first.

Where it is kept

Your details and files are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this website, in a private database and private file storage. Files are never public unless our team approves and publishes a piece with your consent.

Who sees it

Only our core team, through an admin area that requires a verified sign-in. The name shown with your work is kept separate from your private contact details. We never publish your email, phone number or city, and we show locations at state or country level at most. We never sell or share your details.

Videos

Videos are shown as a picture with a play button. Only when you press play does YouTube or Facebook load, and then their own privacy policies apply. In Low-data mode, videos are plain links instead.

Analytics

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not track you personally or follow you to other websites.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact details only as long as we need them to manage your contribution, your consent or your enquiry. [TBD: retention period to be confirmed by the team]

Your choices

You can ask us to remove your published work, correct your details, delete your details or unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Email peaceacrossgenerations [at] gmail [dot] com with the subject “Privacy request”. We will confirm when it is done.
